Research Area: Advanced Medical Physics & AI-Driven Healthcare Solutions
My research is dedicated to advancing diagnostic and therapeutic technologies through innovation in medical physics and artificial intelligence. The work is highly interdisciplinary, focusing on two core pillars:
- Intelligent Medical Imaging & Cancer Detection: We develop and validate deep learning algorithms to automate quality assurance (QA) for critical imaging systems (CT, MRI, X-ray, Linear Accelerators) and to enable the early detection of diseases like breast cancer from mammography and other modalities.
- Affordable Biomedical Instrumentation: We design, prototype, and implement essential medical devices, such as phototherapy units for neonatal jaundice, oxygen generators, and centrifuges, with a focus on accessibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for diverse clinical settings.
This research program aims to directly improve patient outcomes by enhancing diagnostic accuracy, ensuring treatment safety, and expanding access to vital healthcare technologies.
