The Department is found at the Midlands State University, Zvishavane campus at the near end of the Great Dyke. The place is surrounded by vibrant mining companies that always support education based research like Mimosa, SABI, Murowa, Shabani and there are small scale mining activities around. The Geosciences department offers courses in Applied Geology and Exploration Geophysics. Our labs are equipped with state of the art equipment like Wi-Fi enabled material microscopes with an inbuilt camera, Wi-Fi router and 7th generation iPad. Through adequate and advanced sophisticated equipment and expertise personnel, the Department produces competent, vibrant, well rounded (holistic) graduates who adds value to the modernization of the Zimbabwean economy and the Globe at large.
