The department of Real Estate Management, was established in 2023, initially offering a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Real Estate Management which is set to start in 2024. It falls under the Faculty of Built Environment, Arts and Design of the Midlands State University. Currently based at Gweru Campus, the department of Real Estate Management at present has a staff complement of 3 lecturers.
The department, through the Faculty and the University, has embraced the Heritage-based Education 5.0. thrust for the production of goods and services as part of its contribution towards the attainment of the national vision of an upper middle-class economy by 2030.

The Department of Real Estate has a vision to become an established and leading real estate school at both national and regional levels. We strive to achieve this by providing comprehensive training to produce skilled and proficient real estate professionals. Our focus also includes effective planning, management, and assessment of resilient and inclusive built environments that foster socio-economic growth. Furthermore, we are committed to conducting research and offering consultancy services, which aim to solve community and national real estate challenges and facilitate innovation, industrialization, and commercialization. By aligning with these goals, we contribute to the realization of national development objectives and enhance the well-being of individuals in the real estate sector.
