HARARE, ZIMBABWE, 28 August, 2025 – Midlands State University (MSU) didn’t just exhibit at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show; but commanded it.
In a powerful demonstration of academic excellence and innovation, MSU seized four prestigious awards, solidifying its role as a national leader in sustainable development.
The University’s dynamic stand became a central hub for leadership, drawing the attention of His Excellency President E. D. Mnangagwa of the Republic Zimbabwe and the Guest of Honour, His Excellency President M. C. Ramaphosa of South Africa.
The Honourable Minister, Dr. Ambassador F. M. Shava of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development also toured the exhibit, engaging with the pioneering work on display.
The pinnacle of the University’s success was winning the coveted award for Best Overall Stand by an Organisation Exhibiting Climate Smart Projects in any Sector.
Vice Chancellor Professor V. N. Muzvidziwa accepted the honour, a testament to the university-wide commitment to a sustainable future.
Further cementing this triumph, the Agricultural exhibits earned three distinct awards for its outstanding, sector-leading contributions.
This sweeping success is a direct reflection of the University’s core strategy to build indispensable bridges between academia, industry, and the community.
