Gweru, 04 June 2025 – Midlands State University (MSU) hosted a dynamic Faculty Seminar, spotlighting cutting-edge doctoral research from its Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) candidates.
Organised by the Faculty of Business Sciences, particularly the Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL), the event highlighted the University’s commitment to advancing business scholarship and leadership excellence.
Six final-stage DBL candidates presented their thesis work, detailing rigorous methodologies, key findings, and the potential impact of their research on business theory and practice.
Each presentation was subjected to robust critique by a distinguished panel of academic experts, who assessed the studies’ rigour, relevance, and real-world applicability.
The Postgraduate Studies Manager, Dr. U. Saidi lauded the initiative, describing it as “a testament to MSU’s dedication to academic mentorship and high-impact research.”
The seminar also facilitated interdisciplinary discussions among faculty, researchers, and postgraduate students, reinforcing the university’s position as a regional leader in business education.
As the candidates near the completion of their doctoral journeys, MSU anticipates their contributions will influence policy, strategy, and leadership across Zimbabwe and beyond.
