Gweru, Zimbabwe – On Saturday, June 15, 2025, the Midlands State University (MSU) Department of Management Sciences under the Faculty of Business Sciences donated groceries and other essential provisions for children at Rutendo, Heart for Children Home in Mkoba 11.
In his speech, Dr. K. Zvitambo, the Deputy Dean from the Faculty of Business Sciences, affirmed MSU’s deep commitment to holistic education, stating, “Our commitment extends beyond academic training to fostering a profound sense of social responsibility in our students, preparing them as future leaders who actively contribute to society.”
Complementing this, Sister Anna, from Rutendo Heart for Children Home, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the visit, noting, “The support from Midlands State University provides vital resources and importantly, affirms the children’s value within a broader, caring community.”
Following the formal addresses, Rutendo, Heart for Children Home officials led the University team on a guided tour of their facilities, which included a showcase of their rabbit and chicken projects, providing insight into the daily operations and self-sufficiency efforts of the Home.
A significant moment of the day involved the official handover of the donated groceries and other essential provisions, presented as a tangible expression of support from the university to the children of Rutendo Home.
