Highfields, Harare, 16 August 2025—In a heartwarming celebration of its 25 years of academic excellence, the Midlands State University (MSU) Faculty of Business Sciences, Department of Management Sciences, alongside Dumfard Property Developers and the Eyeroom Optometrists, brought smiles and essential supplies to the residents of Society of Destitute Aged (SODA) Old People’s Home in Highfields.

Led by Executive Dean Dr. M. Mugwati and Dumfard’s General Manager Ms. Khasha, the delegation donated vital items to the home, underscoring their commitment to social responsibility and community service.

Dr. Mugwati highlighted the importance of giving back: “Our students, inspired by compassion, have rallied to support this home. These donations, contributed by our lifelong learners, reflect the values we cherish—empathy, gratitude, and humanity.”

The gesture resonated deeply with the elderly residents, reinforcing the role of education in fostering not only academic success but also societal kindness.

Ms. Khasha echoed the sentiment, emphasising Dumfard’s dedication to community upliftment: “We’re here not just with gifts, but with love. Helping others is our way of giving back.
